Salt-N-Pepa pushed it at Billboard Music Awards 2018
The trio Cheryl James, Sandra Denton and DJ Spinderella took audiences way back performing a high-energy and nostalgic mashup
Salt-N-Pepa took to the stage to perform a whole medley of '90s hits. The hip-hop trio - consisting of Salt (Cheryl James), Pepa (Sandra Denton) and DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper) - performed a mashup of some of their biggest hits: "Shoop", "Let's Talk About Sex", and "Push It".Their performance of "Whatta Man" saw them joined onstage by the current line-up of En Vogue. Even Kelly Clarkson eventually joined in the fun.
"I believe that for all the challenges, for all our challenges, we live at a glorious moment in history," Jackson told the crowd in her acceptance speech. "It’s a moment when at long last women have made it clear that we will no longer be controlled, manipulated, or abused. I stand with those women and with those men equally outraged by discrimination who support us in heart or mind."
Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue's appearance was the perfect cap to the night that highlighted female artists, as they had paved the way for women in rap and girl groups to dominate the charts. And fans were ready for an epic reunion tour.
